After Provincials last weekend, I knew I was going to need to dial things down and step away from the bar so I can recover emotionally and physically.

I spent most of Monday feeling really sore and drained. Everything on the back end of me felt tight and achy. I had a massage on Tuesday which was great to get me feeling almost back to normal. On Thursday I felt like I needed to move, so I spent an hour with my headphones in (I was really digging Queen that day), just doing basic movements. I had no plan for this workout nor did I log anything I did. I just did whatever felt right in the moment. I didn't touch anything heavier than a 16kg kettlebell.

On Saturday I finally did a real training session. I did some high volume benching and it felt great! The bar moved really well, I was really pleased with how it felt.
