It's been about a week since I've trained. I'm dying over here and my muscles are deteriorating. I'm exaggerating but you get the point. Reason being, I got sick and took days off to rest, hydrate and take care of myself. Great, got better. Then, it was a solid week of inconsistent sleep and crazy schedule. I've always said this, sleep over training any day. If I am not going to perform my best and be present in what I'm doing then I don't see the point. There's also a difference between sucking it up and pushing through and knowing your limits. I explained everything to Goggins and he agreed to take time off (which was a relief). I was also a few days away from my trip to New York to see my family. So a week off was the agreement and what made sense.

On our way back to New York, I messaged Goggins "I'm ready to train." He replied, "are you sure you still want to do the meet?"

No meet prep is perfect and all this is a lesson learned. I told him I committed so let's seek it through. For the next two weeks depending how each training day goes, he will plan what I should do next. I'm not stressed about it at all. Again, my approach about competing has shifted and I know my body and capabilities. I don't need to showcase everything and put added pressure on myself. Plan is: get out there and execute.

I'll keep you posted on how the week goes...
