I really don't know how to feel about this squat night. I felt like garbage. My technique didn't feel comfortable at all. I was scared of the weight and my eccentric was too slow.

The takeaway from today- even after all that I was still able to grind out an ugly 700. The bad news is that's 40-50lbs under my typical opener.

After hitting some reps with 645 two weeks ago I thought I would be OK with 700. I'll chalk it up as a bad day and prepare for next week.

510x2 trying to work on fast eccentric, felt like garbage

SSB step ups

SLRDL's

650 felt OK- about as good as it did two weeks ago for reps

700 felt like shit- I was too slow on the eccentric, cut my depth too high, never got any rebound, and lost all tightness. All bad.

I added reverse bands because I wanted to gain some confidence back but more importantly to work on speeding up the eccentric to the point where it needs to be for me to squat properly.
