Keys to Success:

  • Loop the band around the center of the pullup bar.
  • Pull the band down, and place one foot  into the loop.
  • Pull yourself upward by contracting the lats as you flex the elbow. The elbow should be driven to your side. Pull to the front, attempting to get your chin over the bar. Avoid swinging or jerking movements.

*the band will assist you out of the bottom position of the pullup, but at the top the load will be increased as the band tension decreases. This overloads the contraction phase and allows for perfect form.
