The 2019 Arnold Sports Festival will feature a Slingshot Showdown at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, at the Rogue Stage. The event requires lifters to use the Red Slingshot, which is provided by Mark Bell. There will also be $3,000 in prize money for the showdown.
Participants must meet the following qualifications in order to compete in the Slingshot Showdown:
Men
- 275+: 463 pounds/210 kilograms
- 242-220: 418 pounds/190 kilograms
- 198-181: 385 pounds/175 kilograms
- 165 and under: 341 pounds/155 kilograms
Women
- 220-242: 242 pounds/110 kilograms
- 198-181: 220 pounds/100 kilograms
- 165-148: 198 pounds/90 kilograms
- 132-114: 176 pounds/80 kilograms
Qualified lifters are encouraged to apply.
Slingshot Showdown weigh-ins are currently scheduled for from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, in Hall A115. There will be no same-day weigh-ins.
