I’m currently in off season mode working on bringing up certain qualities and weaknesses I noticed from the IPA Grand Prix Nationals. This training will be laying the ground for my training cycle into the 2016 XPC Finals.

Saturday kicked off week 2 of the off season training, and like I mentioned last week, there is going to be more squatting. This week I went with a similar set up, but with a bit more accommodating resistance. My goal was to match or beat what I did at Elitefts. I managed to eek out 10 more pounds, which felt rather good. Not the prettiest stuff, but for max effort like work, I'll take it. I think this squatting more often, even if the variations are going to be changing, is going to be a good thing. I followed things up with lots of hamstring work (yet again) and more heavy ab work.
Slow and steady progress, but overall a great session. Good to be back squatting heavy with the guys in the garage after what seemed like forever.
