Founder and Coach of Goggins Force, Steve Goggins was born December 15, 1963, in Chatham, VA and went to Chatham High School, where he was a four-year letterman in football. He also lettered in track & field and wrestling. He started powerlifting while in high school, around 1979. Goggins served in the US Army from September of 1983, until May of 1990. While in the Army, he served in the 82nd Airborne and was a member of the Armed Forces Powerlifting Team. He has competed in powerlifting for over 25 years and was the first powerlifter to squat 1100 pounds. Goggins now resides in Marietta, GA and is the current state chairman of the USPA Powerlifting Organization.
