Meana Albersworth joined the team in August 2014 after a year of attending elitefts™ seminars and weekend training conventions. Raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Franco spent her teenage years playing rugby before going on to study Fitness and Lifestyle Management at Algonquin College. Throughout college and one year following graduation, Franco furthered her rugby career and developed an impressive level of raw strength. The minor injuries and hip issues that Franco encountered while participating in rugby led her to powerlifting and allowed her to uncover her true gift. She competes in the 132-pound weight class and has a PR total of 1041 pounds (with wraps) and 918.5 pounds (without wraps). In 2018 she was ranked 14th in the 132 class (with wraps).
